Rising Tennis Star Britney Korir: Serving Up Success

    16-Year-Old Tennis Champion and Activist

At just 16, Britney Korir is making waves both on and off the tennis court. Born in the USA and relocating to Australia with her family in 2008, Britney has become one of Adelaide’s most promising young athletes.

Currently ranked 500 in Australian women’s tennis, Britney is on the USA College Tennis pathway and heading to the US on a tennis scholarship. Her achievements include being named an award-winning player and serving as Ambassador for STOP FGM in Kenya since 2018.

But tennis is just one part of Britney’s story. As part of her advocacy work, she created the BET Hygiene Pack – a comprehensive kit for young girls containing essential items and educational materials. The pack includes seven panties, two cotton bras, and educational resources about menstrual health.

    The BET Hygiene Pack Impact:

    • Supports over 1,500 girls with hygiene essentials
    • Provides year-long supply of sanitary items
    • Includes educational materials about health and self-care

Britney’s dual passion for tennis and social activism demonstrates how young athletes can use their platform for meaningful change. Her work with STOP FGM has supported thousands of girls, while her tennis career continues to flourish.

“I want to inspire girls to be the best possible version of who they can be. When girls are empowered, families are strengthened, communities thrive.”
