Emerge Magazine Named Official Media Partner for Women Deliver 2026

Geelong’s multicultural community news publication will provide dedicated coverage of the global gender equality conference — bringing the conversation home to regional Victoria

GEELONG, VICTORIA — Emerge Magazine, Geelong’s multicultural community news publication, has been officially accredited as a Media Partner for Women Deliver 2026 (WD2026) — one of the world’s largest conferences on gender equality, to be held in Narrm (Melbourne) from 27–30 April 2026.

The accreditation places Emerge alongside international and national media at a conference that will convene global leaders, policymakers, civil society advocates, and community voices to advance gender equality — at a moment of heightened pressure on women’s rights worldwide.

For Emerge, the accreditation is more than a media credential. It is recognition that the voices of multicultural women in regional Australia — African, South Asian, South-East Asian, and other communities across Greater Geelong — belong in the centre of this global conversation.

“The women we serve in Geelong’s multicultural communities are exactly the women WD2026 exists for — yet they rarely see themselves reflected in the coverage of conferences like this. Emerge is going to change that.”

Catherine Jonathan, Editor, Emerge Magazine

Emerge will provide dedicated editorial coverage of WD2026 across emergemagazine.com.au, its newsletter, and social media channels — with a specific focus on themes relevant to migrant and CALD women in regional Australia, including women’s economic participation, health access, leadership, and political voice.

The conference program includes high-level plenaries, over 100 concurrent sessions, and 12 pre-conferences spanning gender-based violence, First Nations leadership and global solidarity, climate justice, adolescent girls’ leadership, LGBTI inclusion, and feminist funding. Featured speakers include Senator the Hon. Katy Gallagher, Hon. Dame Jacinda Ardern, Hon. Helen Clark, and Hon. Julia Gillard AC.

Coverage will begin in the week of 27 April 2026 at emergemagazine.com.au
